the fifth day: pants pants pants

Somewhere, Cameron and Sophia suddenly and involuntarily just had a chill run through them. It’s alright guys, I’m here to explain it to you. For today I am wearing my much-loved (by me) and much-mocked (by the afore-mentioned best friend and boyfriend) nana pants.

They fit in with my 100 mile sartorial diet because they’re that lovely combination of op-shopped and hacked up and made into something quite different by me. So they’re sort of homemade but with a bit of help in the beginning from “Design Collection by Caroline Taylor” (thanks, Caroline!) who had original made them as size 18, hugely balloon-seated and potentially slightly flared granny trousers with pleats in bad places. Some would argue I’ve not done much (ha ha), but after some sewing and cutting and laundering and some fairly epic re-negotiating of the pleats and shape of the legs, I think they’re looking pretty fine.

Op shop/homemade pants, op shop top, op shop belt, op shop shoes, op shop bag, homemade necklace (from op shop brooch and random chain.)

Also, thanks to the tap, for being in an awkward position meaning that I couldn’t NOT get it in the photo (diva tap), and also meaning I couldn’t get the camera to focus properly on me (using the ten-second timer thing. I don’t know how to focus on me while I’m not in the photo. How is this achieved?)
