the seventh day: cape weather

As much as I love sunshine and summer and ice creams and all that, I was pretty happy to wake up this morning and feel a (slight) chill in the air. It means my vegetable garden will get a little break from the recent heatwave and that I’ll be able to drive comfortably around in my car. But most of all I like the cold change because it means I get an excuse to trot out my much-prized cape. It makes me feel a little bit Hogwarts.

Op shop cape, op shop shirt, renovated op shop skirt, op shop belt, op shop shoes, homemade necklace and grandma Doreen’s lucky handbag.

Today is the first day of Sophia’s 100 mile diet, check her out if you haven’t already at a hundred miles from anywhere. She’s cooking us a feast of local produce for dinner tonight, which by the sounds of things is set to be pretty delicious.
