I have a long way to go before I reach the style pinnacle that is Grandma Yetta from The Nanny. When I’m 80, encrusted with gold rings, shiny costume jewellery and out-size specs and have my own ridiculously large collection of sequin jackets, then I may truly consider myself in her league.
For now I’ll make do with being Grandma Yetta in training:
Homemade pants (well, originally very different looking op shop pants that have been considerably hacked up into these), gold and cream op shop blouse, homemade necklace, op shop bag, belt and shoes.
Tonight I’ll be wearing a few things that aren’t op shopped/within 100 miles as I’m involved in a fundraiser where I’m being dressed by some WA designers. I think everything will be designed in WA, but some things will perhaps made over in China or Bali, so it’s sort of half way. It’s for charity though, so all in all a worthy cause.
