the thirteenth day: part two

Last night I went out to a “snow” themed birthday party, so I put together a 100 mile costume. I tend to get a little over-involved when it comes to costume parties, so I tried not to go too over the top for this one. I’m sort of like an ice-skater? Look, I dunno, but I’m wearing white wool and (fake) fur, I feel that’s pretty alpine.

I’m wearing a dress made by the amazingly talented Ebony, who designs the label Little Gracie. I love her designs so very much, her dresses always make me feel happy: soft colours, frills, flowers and homemade attention to detail that makes me feel like I’m wearing something my mum or grandma lovingly sewed for me. She made this particular dress herself at her house that’s just down the road from me, you can’t really get more local than that! The rest of her garments are made by her seamstress here in WA, and she’s stocked at Harry & Gretel in Leederville, Tu in Northbridge, Em Clothing in Subiaco, Lady Petrova in Melbourne, and

So, I’m wearing a Little Gracie dress, op shop belt, op shop (fake) fur coat, op shop bag and…. I can’t lie, I’m wearing my old boots that I bought on Ebay at the beginning of winter. They certainly aren’t from within 100 miles. Boo! But I had nothing like them from an op shop. Fail, I know! So, strike one against me (well, strike two if you count the blazer incident.)
